New Metal - Spring 2013
New BRONZE and COPPER components I have been working on lately. Some familiar styles, some new. I'm having a lot of fun dabbling in metal clay. I find that my work in metal is influencing my ceramic style, and vice versa - lots of cross-pollination which I am really digging.

Lovely!
ReplyDeleteIncredibly beautiful details Miss Karen. Makes me wish that I had the set up to do this sort of thing! I took several PMC silver classes a few years ago and never really mastered it but it looks like such fun! I am smitten with the one on the bottom right and the ones in the middle...beads? Love them all. Enjoy the day. Erin
ReplyDeleteYes the middle ones are beads. Thank you for your kind comments!
DeleteBeautiful Karen - love the ancient/ethnic feel to these.
ReplyDeleteI love your deep textures, especially those long bars this time around!
ReplyDeleteWow, these are fab. I love the round one, bottom left it's so intricate.
ReplyDeleteRight On Karen!!! Love that metal clay :)
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteStunning!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThose are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI think the really nice thing about the metal clay is that your lines are really crisp and allow for more detail. Is it possible to inlay regular ceramic pieces with metallic embellishments? Larger decorative pieces - plates, bowls, plaques and the like - would be awesome! :-)
